I've seen a lot of people lately with the 16e, 16, 16pro (and even 16+) and not so many 16PM and wondering why? I though bigger was the way to go? Who has done smaller and why?

Yes I can see why!
Just bought 16e white 512 Gb today and finished setting it up. Looks and feels great coming from a 16Plus which was a fantastic phone except it was just physically too big and gave me hand pain and bulky for pockets. So I reluctantly changed and so far pleased with what ingot
I have a MagSafe Torras ultra slim case which holds my old Apple battery pack - hoping it’s not needed ! and also my FW Apple wallet
Issue is the wallet does not show up in Find My - could be that 26e does not do MagSafe ? Or something else ?

I don't know . . . I like the size of the 16 Pro (and my XS before that). When it mattered, I thought this size fit well in the inside breast pocket of a blazer. Maybe I'm just accustomed to this size now, but the Max size doesn't appeal to me at all.

My wife, FWIW, has an XS now and is in the market for a new iPhone. She wants a Max size because she thinks it will be easier to type on. That, so far as I can tell, is her sole criteria for the size choice.

I have a 15 pro phone now and I would love to go back to the Mini size that I always had before! The Mini size fit fine in my hands and was lighter to carry in my purse. The 15 pro didn't fit in any of my cases- so had to buy a new case. I certainly wish that Apple would continue making Mini iPhones!

Well, I'd prefer an iPhone that is somewhere between the size of the Pro Max and the iPad Mini. Unfortunately, Apple does not consult me for the size of their iDevices.

I prefer large. Typically whatever model has the largest size I will get. I work from home, or in an office where I can set my phone down. My job involves computers with connected keyboards, mice and large monitors. My own preference at home is for large TVs, desktop Macs and lots of large monitors. So my devices are not used as substitute computers, media devices, game consoles or anything else you can typically use a computer for.

I use my phone primarily when out. Which isn't a lot. Calls, texts, light email and light web browsing. Consequently, I want a large device. My life does not exist on my devices, it exists on my computers. Why reach for my device when my hands are already on a keyboard?

So, no. No small devices for me.

I went 12 pro max to SE, to 14 Pro Max and then 15 pro and now I'm on the 16 pro max.

I think 15 pro is best size for one handed use but pro max size best for overall content and experience.

I want a tri fold (map fold?) device the size of the 16 pro max when closed, but that would open to about the size of an iPad A16

I recently traded my 14 Pro (back to Apple) for a 15 Plus. Had that about 5 days when I realized it was just too big for my liking. It really didn't feel comfortable in my hand so I returned it and upgraded to the 16 Pro. That still gave me the screen increase from the 14 (6.1 to 6.3) but feels identical in my hand. I've always had the pro models for the camera so I'm happy with the purchase. I don't think I'll ever get a larger phone again.

Desperate for Apple to realize their mistake and release a mini Pro phone. I loved my 13 mini, but am also getting used to the pro features after a year and a half of my 15 Pro. I think they really hamstrung the 12 and 13 mini by making them the lowest featured phones in their lineups, then used the resulting poor sales to justify axing them.

I like small. Not sure what I'm going to do when my 12 mini is no longer supported.
I've been eyeing a Light Phone for a while. The LP3 might very well be my next phone. Or I might just try to get my Apple Watch to work as my "mini" phone again. Just wish I can connect my Watch to my car.

I'd get one! I just hope that rumored foldable iPhone isn't Apple's answer to a new mini.

Have you ever considered the possibility that the reason you're seeing less people with a 16 Pro Max is not because of size but price? The size difference between a 16 Plus and 16 Pro Max isn't much, but the price is.

I had the Xs max for like five years. By the time I got my 15 pro man did I detest that large size. Impossible to one hand (and I'm a tall guy), always sticking out of pockets, with a case even bigger. Just generally unwieldy.

My regular size 15 pro is legit amazing size-wise. Onehanding, pocket fitting, and I haven't really noticed a difference when viewing maps or media. Never going back to a large size. If I need bigger I'll pick up my iPad

I have a 16 Pro Max, I tried a 16 Pro at launch but it felt like a small brick to me once I added a case to it so I exchanged it for a Pro Max which feels lighter to me than the Pro did. I only stay on the Pro models because I prefer the always on display (AOD) and ProMotion (120Hz). But I’m tired of these bigger/heavier devices. Heavy does not feel premium to me.

Assuming all models of the 17 get AOD and ProMotion I’ll be moving to a regular 17 or to the 17 Air. Looking forward to it.

I reluctantly gave up my 13 mini for a 15 Pro for better battery life. I'm interested to see what the iPhone Air is all about. I know the screen won't be smaller but hopefully the lighter weight makes it less unwieldy.
