Did you just make this up?

Probably the biggest market for luxury goods outside the US.
I’d check your data again—you seem to have forgotten about this region called Asia…

27 countries and 450 million people to barely amount to 70% of the U.S. That's a joke.
The range in EU is from usd 118000 to about 15000 usd and US has about 80000 Per Capita. Look into history of EU and some member state former associations and you understand why. It would be like US fused their economy with Mexico.

Apple would have a large problem with their stock value if only addressing markets >80000 usd per capita.

Yeah they really need to trim this - also the iPads are so damn great, that my iPad Pro 11 is now around 4 years old and feels brand new - no need to upgrade at all

It’s just absurd to me - I’m a huge Apple fan and I couldn’t tell you which iPad I’d want to buy. I’d have to research **** for hours! How many iPad mini versions are there? What differences? What’s their internals? Then you have like 5 different sizes that are .2 inches or something absurd apart, then the Pro versions, some work with one Apple Pencil and others don’t, the screens and internals are different on so many. It’s literally crazy to me. None of the iPad lineup makes any damn sense. Way too confusing lol.

It’s 100% not complicated. Have you seen line ups of anything from literally any other manufacturer?
To answer your incorrect assumptions; there is only one iPad mini version, and the all Apple Pencil models work on all the pro models except the 1st iPad Pro which is no longer made and was out before the 2nd gen Pencil existed.

Specs get better with price, and screen size choices exist with every platform from any manufacturer- you would be bemused if they didn’t.

1xSmall iPad (mini)
2xBase iPad (cheapest/better model)
1xMid range (air)
2xHigh end (11/12.9pro)

Apples line ups are far from confusing.

The pencil situation is a little bit stupid, but even that’s not ‘confusing’. There’s a cheaper one for notes and writing and a better one for drawing. Why they did that and made the weird compatibility issues with the lower iPads I can only assume was for money. But still not particularly confusing.

Pretty straightfoward for me. Decide on screen size, then decide either air or pro if 11". With cellular and 256gb storage.

Only 3 out of the 27 EU countries there, and it’s still number three on this random chart you found.
Oh wow, you totally got me there. Adding in EU member Cyprus (population <1 million) totally changed the trendlines.

The European Union totals around 448 million people, versus the 4.7 billion counted in Asia (yes, it’s a bit ridiculous so speak in such broad regions, but that’s apparently what we’ve decided to do here.) China alone (22 provinces) easily outnumbers all of the EU. Yes, income levels and living conditions reach much farther into the third-world region there, but there’s a still-growing middle class in the cities and this kind of numerical imbalance will do shocking things in a few percentage points—Hong Kong nearly ties the luxury goods market of France ($14B vs $18B in 2023). CAGR through 2028 for Asia outstrips that of the EU. Here’s another “random graph” from Statista, this one from 2020 [1]:

And from Statista’s mid-2023 report [2]:

Asia will likely witness the highest spending, with total predicted sales of US$136.2 billion in 2023, followed by Europe (US$110.5 billion), North America (US$85.7 billion), Australia and Oceania (US$8.3 billion), Africa (US$5.7 billion), and South America (US$5.2 billion). The U.S. (US$75.7 billion) is expected to become the largest market, followed by China (US$53.6 billion), Japan (US$30.5 billion), France (US$18.3 billion), and the UK (US$16.4 billion).

But hey, I’m wasting time trying to debate people on an online forum, so what do I know…
