Careful, Apple. If you push too far into the professional space you'll find yourself offering a nice physical keyboard.

A bit bigger, faster and with a slight better iPhone camera, but with fewer charging options, just doesn't sound particularly "ultra" considering what the Pro Max already is and does. I'm still trying to imagine what's missing and couldn't be added to the Pro that would justify a separate, even more expensive phone.

Without any ports then Apple Car users will be screwed unless you have wireless support.

Charging becomes interesting as well. I am charging my phone while playing games. Yes, I have wireless charging pads but when the phone is horizontal on one of those it just is not charging along with game play friendly. Or if you have an external corded battery pack. They could do those to support wireless but that is not common.

Also can't use wired headphones even with adapters. Must be wireless friendly across the board.

I like the idea of a case that does not have water intake ports. Still have to risk the microphone and speakers though.

Cute render... but the orange accents? cmon.. there's NO way that's happening..

And activity and location tracker for explorers makes some sense... but a high end Phone designed for "explorers"? .... idk man... It's probably still coming, but not with that consumer demographic in mind...

(but lets be honest... less than 1% (at most) of people who own an Apple Watch Ultra actually do any "exploring" in the wild..)

starting with a high end storage of 128GB.
As long it comes with 2TB option. I will be happy. I’m going to need it.

Honestly, if it doesn’t have a SIM card slot (so I can use it in any country with any carrier) and a physical headphone jack with a built-in DAC that can process Apple Music at 24-bit/192 kHz, then it’s hardly Ultra. It’s not even “Pro.”

There is definitely a market for an iPhone without a camera bump.
I would definitely want something like that if Apple fill it with battery, but I think people are over estimating how popular that would be. Right now the camera bump alone is around 4mm and the phone without the bump is around 7mm. Removing the camera bump would mean a dramatic increase in thickness and weight, and people are already complaining that the pro max is too heavy as it is.

If it takes design cues from the watch, expect it to be comparable to a brick, in terms of thickness and weight that is.
Likely to be priced to ridiculous levels too.
When I hear "Ultra", I think of Samsung !

Can’t believe the people in here saying how they’re looking forward to this phone. Tim Cook is robbing them blind and they’re up for it.

Hopefully falls flat in sales. Total greedy money grab from a company fast running out of ideas. If nobody buys into this then you’ll soon see prices drop and reversion back to a single iPhone model that has all the periscope cameras latest and greatest chips etc.

Created the Pro line to squeeze more money from customers for features that should be in the basic iPhone. Now squeezed the price limit as far as we can with the Pro line so need another tier to keep the price heading skywards.

Tim Cook needs to go.
