You must really hate bedazzled pink cans, lack of a wire looks ridiculous, got itWhy do people buy airpods?? They look ridiculous, and more importantly there are much much better options

This must really hurt Jony Ive’s brain.

There’s no way he designed these. They’re nicer than the last model but this isn’t Ive’s style at all. I’m guessing someone else his junior in the design studio was given the lead on Beats gear.
It already hurts mine. Did Apple determine there was strong demand for headphones that resemble '90s computers?

AirPods straight up don’t stay in my ears when I sweat. It’ll only get worse in the summer cause I’ll sweat even more. Hopefully these will fit me.

It may be that you just have the volume up too high. If the music doesn’t seem that loud to you, but other people are complaining about how loud it is to them, do yourself a favor and get your hearing checked.I’m looking forward to hear about soundleaks of the Pro. I complaint I get at times from my surrounding colleagues when using AirPods
So it's nearly $100 more for water resistance and a bigger battery.
Without audio quality test, it's not quite a fair comparison.

A couple of odd and unappealing colour choices IMO. Off white and navy? Should’ve been white and red. I like the olive, though.
I don’t like that these don’t let in ambient noise. For people who walk or jog for exercise this could be a safety issue. Guess will just need to sweat less and keep my AirPods - do wish they were water resistant though.
I can tell you that my gen.1 AirPods were in my swimsuit pocket last summer in their case. I went into the hot tub potion of the pool and was in there about 15 minutes. All that happened is the case stopped operating, but the AirPods worked just fine after I blew them out.I’ve been requesting water resistance for the AirPods for quite some time, and honestly, I think it’s fairly safe to say the AirPods are actually decently water resistant, even though they don’t have the actual rating behind them. I’ve used them in all types of environments, and they have held up really well against sweat and moisture. I would say the AirPods are *highly* underrated for repelling against moisture, even though they don’t have any official water resistance rating.
That’s my question as well. I wasn’t impressed with my AirPods losing 80% battery capacity in under two years. How long do the batteries last? A year or two?

I wonder if the Powerbeats have the same problem I've had with other "earplug" style headphones; they amplify any sounds I make internally a hundred times, which is incredibly annoying.
I tried an LG Tone headset once that had this earplug style, and if I tried to eat with them my chewing was amplified so loud that I couldn't stand to wear them while eating. When I'd walk, I'd loudly hear my own footsteps. And my own voice would sound really weird and super-loud when I'd talk. I returned them.
Airpods have been free of this phenomenon, which is why I like them; problem is they don't stay in my ears that well. I'm most happy with over-the-ear headphones (Bose QC35), which also don't have this problem, but are a pain in the ass to carry everywhere with you since you can't stuff them in your pocket.
I guess the only way to find out will be to try them.
It’s a sensor that picks up the movement of your jaw when you are talking and subsequently activates the microphones. When you are not taking, it turns the microphones off to limit ambient noise.“a speech-detecting accelerometer”
Huh? What does that mean?
The only thing I think is missing from the AirPods, is some type of comfort gel tip accessory add-on that could be more custom to fit the individuals ear. For the majority, I’m sure the AirPods work perfectly fine, but there are those where the AirPods is not a ‘one size fits all’, and I would like to see Apple would offer some type of gel tip alternative.
I bought earbuddyz 2 - they have little wings to keep the AirPods secure. I probably didn't really need them but they feel so solid that I like them for running just in case. 3-pack on eBay is $16 or $17. They're even less expensive if you have amazon (I don't)The only thing I think is missing from the AirPods, is some type of comfort gel tip accessory add-on that could be more custom to fit the individuals ear. I agree. These are way too practical/functional for Ive to be involved with. This must really hurt Jony Ive’s brain. There’s no way he designed these. 450$ USD if you end up buying both
Ultimately Apple's pocketbook wins
