Where in the SF Bay? I've had T-Mobile and Sprint before that. Has been waaaaay better than AT&T in general in all over the Bay.
I live in the east bay and drive all over CA, nothing but compliments.
I used to work in SF and the 5G is so fast, plus TMobile got towers that could get through the brick office buildings.
Also love my grandfathered Sprint plan. Includes unlimited phone date and 60GB of tethering per month.
Verizon here is definitely king, but T-Mobile has been catching up fast. AT&T is a joke

I've been with T-mobile for years. What they lack in coverage they very well make up in perks. Just last week they improved their coverage abroad. If you compare it to any other carrier — it's insane. As far as coverage — never had Verizon, but did have AT&T for a few years and that was a very similar experience as T-mobile for me.

I have Verizon via eSim. It’s the only carrier that works at my house, I tried the T-Mobile test drive and it didn’t work at all. I tried it on another Samsung phone and it also didn’t work. I have AT&T internet, and tried their cellular data but it hardly worked at my house.

That’s all well and good as long as you never have to deal with their horrendous customer service.

I been with T-Mobile since 2015 and has grown in coverage dramatically...The 5G service has been meh lately, especially in the OC (CA), I switched to LTE for the past month because its way faster.

I’m using a MVNO that few people know exists. US Mobile. You get two SIM cards. One uses T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint networks. The other uses the Super LTE (aka Verizon) network. I switched a couple years ago and couldn’t be happier. The Super LTE card works everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE. I’m in Brooklyn and can’t recall ever losing a signal. T-Mobile always dropped out when crossing the Manhattan Bridge. Never the case with US Mobile. Their service has spoiled me.
If Verizon is Nordstrom, then US Mobile is Nordstrom Rack. I have three lines with unlimited data/text and free hotspot on my line. $75 a month, plus perks! Flawless service. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Can’t believe this, I’m on the worst network. We’re fortunate anti-trust kept T-Mobile from being acquired. I used to be with T-Mobile and switched to AT&T so I could get an iPhone ca 2008.

Switched from Verizon to T-Mobile and couldn't be happier with coverage in and around Chicago. Their customer service on the other hand . . . .
Did the exact same thing a few weeks ago, also in Chicago area. Service is drastically improved here compared to a year ago when I tried it. Sprint used to be great here if I recall, so they must’ve transitioned everything, and then some. It is night and day.

Last weekend we drove to boonies NW Indiana and had 5G nearly the entire drive. Same driving up to SE Wisconsin, service used to be horrible around Racine and now it’s solid 5G UC.

I’m on the Business Unlimited Ultimate Plan for $70 a month (jumped on the recent promo) including taxes and fees. Very happy so far.

I wish there was a cellular provider for data that could stream high quality 4k video easily without buffering like on a hard wire line.
They all cap the cellular speed if they detect that you are streaming videos from known services like YouTube or Netflix. You can get around this limitation by using VPN service like NordVPN.

It’s too bad T-Mobile has bad coverage in much of the San Francisco Bay Area. If they had better coverage, I would happily switch to them.
I have t mobile in the Bay Area and find their coverage as good as ATT, which I had for years, and almost as good as Verizon, which my wife had for years.

No…I don’t believe it.

What part of OC? I have ATT and their service has always sucked in the Long Beach/Seal Beach area and over to Buena Park. So bad in most areas my phone is useless, I’ve grown so sick of it I was actually thinking of switching to T Mobile. I don’t even care about super fast speeds, I would just like to be able to actually use my phone. ATT has so many dead zones around here it’s criminal, dead zones that have been around since I first got an iPhone with them back in 2008!!!!

The map may be a year or so old but look at the Nebraska shaped hole in T-Mobile coverage. This isn’t that old of a map and T-Mobile was using something similar as recently as last year in their own advertising. For all I know they still do.

/Edit: Guess what state I live in.

Tried T-Mobile a year ago for two days. Switched from AT&T. A 20 minute drive I had to work which is from the suburbs of Washington DC to the city, the signal went from nonexistent to very fast to very slow and back to nonexistent over and over. The best network doesn’t help if it’s not stable. Since I use my phone for work and for a lot of data and hotspot, I need the data to be 100% reliable. I’ll stick with AT&T. I’ve never had any issues with them.

Visible is Nordstrom Rack, since they’re owned by Verizon.

US Mobile is that guy who runs an outlet store in the strip mall.

Everyone hates on AT&T, but I have been with them for years without issue.
TMobile needs to protect their customers information

US Mobile is interesting and I like what they're doing. But their new Unlimited plans aren't as good of a value as the one you probably have.

Did they mainly do their testing just in urban areas, or did they test in suburbs and rural areas too? Cities are always going to have fast speeds no matter which carrier you have. Average speed of 264mbps? No way you're getting that in a small town.
Depends on how close to a tower you are. I tested t-mobile a couple months back. Close to the tower, I could pull over 500Mbps download speeds. I have their home internet and average about 150/30 almost 3 miles from the tower.
