Vision Pro is the most exciting thing to come from Apple in quite a while. I'd argue more exciting than Apple Silicon. It's also one of the more exciting things to happen in tech this year. So, not surprising we get quite a lot of content about it.
Just imagine if Apple Silicon didn't exist, do you think the Vision Pro would even exist? ARM has been a tour de force for Apple. It's what powers a lot of what Apple provides today. ;)

Right, but an underlying technology is not as exciting as what happens when it is implemented.

Perhaps you should change the name of this website to "Apple Vision Pro Rumors" Spending so much time and effort on one Apple device must be exhausting.

Agreed. I put the AVP forum on ignore to avoid most of it, but the front page is a dump of pointless AVP drivel.

I think some look at this first generation Vision Pro as a masterpiece, I don't, it's a very much work in progress to what it eventually succeeds to be. Once you start to really use it and the charm has worn off will you be annoyed by its slower text editing capabilities then say a Mac? There is also the comfort aspects of the current implementation that the Mac Rumors show highlighted compared to several other offerings. :)

It's definitely a little premature, but that is also what makes it exciting I think. It reminds me of when I saw multitouch demos for the first time.

I don't want to read or watch a video, is there someone that can read the article to me?
In an app on your Mac, do any of the following:

  • Hear an entire document: Choose Edit > Speech > Start Speaking.
  • Hear part of a document: In a document, select the text you want to hear, then choose Edit > Speech > Start Speaking.
  • Stop the speaking: Choose Edit > Speech > Stop Speaking.

Are we at the point now where gen z dont even know what a text article is anymore? Everything has to be video these days?
Indeed, my partner and I are different generations... she always laughs at me for being old-fashion because I read various news sites and don't get my info from watching Instagram, YouTube and Tiktok videos which is supposedly "more efficient" (even though I can read a transcript far faster than the actual audio/video... but I guess the younger generation has to read very slowly in order to comprehend those word things).

And also... get off my lawn!

The fact that their opinions differ from yours does not make them dishonest.

Case in point: I don't find it looks stupid, I don't find it to be pointless at all, and I don't agree that a tv/computer/phone/tablet are better in every way (some, sure, but not all). Those are honest statements.

Again, people can have differing opinions from yours and not be dishonest - or even wrong.
Sure you don’t. It very useful at looking at photos, typing in air like a dork or destroying your eyes.

If Apple released an actual piece of 💩 to wear on your face, you'd see all these influencers wearing it everywhere they go, praising it, claiming that it's the best thing since sliced bread. I read absolutely no honest reviews. Nobody talked about how stupid it looks, how pointless it is, or how a tv/computer/phone/tablet is better in every way.
Let me say this... my guess is you are trolling but still... re-read your post and look at what a POS/hater you sounds like. If you had worked hard and built a Channel that made you a living or put you in a comfortable place in life and you had a chance to review products... my bet is you would do whatever you could to stay in good graces with said companies in order to keep the products coming and keep the revenue coming in for your channel. e.g. focusing on the positive things that MOST users wanted to hear back. The only unboxing/review I watched was Mac Rumors and I thought it was great.

When the iPod came out hates cried but "who would want to have that many songs in their pocket." When the iPhone came out peopled cried this and that.. it looks dumb.... people like you just hating on what other SUCCESSFUL companies/brands are doing. I think it is funny and appreciate clowns like you. It makes me realize what losers/haters still exist in the world.

Keep living vicariously though other successful people in life wishing you had made it. Lastly, you realize the only people who win with negative comments like this are those pages/sites you are commenting on. Nobody really cares about your opinion except well... yourself. They WIN when you engage with them even with your hate spewed comment.

Floated out, you mean. Unfortunately, at approximately 18 cubic feet to compensate the AVP’s weight, it won’t fit through most people’s doors. Even fitting it below a normal ceiling might be a bit of a challenge.
Ha ha - sweet, floated out - the new rolled out.

This was a good convo. In the first 15 minutes you basically summarized my thoughts. I actually do think this is an iPad for your face. A really cool, fun, and visually impressive iPad, but an iPad nevertheless. I haven't owned an iPad in years. My Apple Silicon MacBook Pro is where productivity happens. And fun too. After all, it's a super bright, sharp, Dolby Atmos movie machine, when I want.

I will be returning my AVP on Friday, the last day of my return window. Thanks.

So that gives some of us the possibility of a discounted one. 😎
